Saw 3D might not be the last in the franchise.

by: Super Marcey

We were all given the impression that SAW 3D (the 7th SAW film) would be the last in the franchise. I am sure there are those of you out there who had your doubts. History has shown us that many franchises do come back, even if we are told otherwise.

Well actress Betsy Russell (she plays Jill in the series) revealed exclusively to PopWrap that the writers have some idea's for an 8th film.

"Before we thought it was ending [with 'SAW 3D'], the writers came up with an unbelievable idea [for 'SAW 8'], it's an amazing story that I would love to see."

She also mentioned the possibility of another film would relay on how well it does at the Box Office.

"
Saw 8" might not be that far off! We want to end near the top, with our integrity in tact and not letting the characters die a slow death, so to speak. But I believe in my heart that someday, somehow, ['SAW 8'] will happen."

There you have it folks, a real possibility that the franchise might just live on. If the writers still have good idea's and the appeal is still there, then I say why not?

The film is set for release on October 29th and it also stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Sean Patrick Flanery, Gina Holden and Cary Elwes.
