Natalie Portman recently spoke to MTV about her upcoming film BLACK SWAN. Not much has been said about the film. It does have ballet dancers, and an apparent sex scene between Portman and co-star Mila Kunis. On the subject of that scene Portman said it was "not explicit in any way,", which is all she said on that subject.
Revealing more about the tone of the film she revealed the following "It's very unique in tone, in terms of genre and tone. I think of it more as a psychological thriller, like 'ROSEMARY'S BABY' in [terms of] genre, if I had to pick a genre."
I do like the sound of that, Portman seems very enthusiastic about the film. It will be opening the Venice Film Festival, I assume we will hear more about the film at that time. As for the rest of us we will have to wait until December 1 to check it out.
The film is Darren Aronovsky's follow up to THE WRESTLER. Along with Portman it also stars Mila Kunis, Winona Ryder and Vincent Cassel.
